Head of Medical Management – Andean Region

About the role

The Head of Medical Management for the Andean region will lead the strategic planning and execution of medical detailing, medical marketing, training, and KOL engagement across the cluster, with a focus on Colombia. This senior position drives physician engagement, prescription growth, and market share while aligning medical initiatives with cross‑functional business plans.

Key responsibilities

• Define and govern the Andean detailing strategy, set annual and multi‑year objectives, and establish segmentation and performance frameworks.
• Allocate medical resources based on physician potential, prescription opportunities, and market dynamics.
• Lead strategic analysis of recommendation trends, prescription evolution, market share, and competitive dynamics using IQVIA, Close‑Up, IQMED and other tools.
• Develop and execute the short‑, medium‑, and long‑term medical strategy for the Andean cluster and Colombia, strengthening expert positioning and medicalization agenda.
• Oversee scientific communication, congress participation, digital platforms, advisory boards, and educational activities.
• Establish capability‑building agendas, competency frameworks, and certification standards for the medical detailing organization.
• Define and supervise KOL management and collaboration across the region.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in medical affairs, detailing, or medical marketing within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret market data and drive evidence‑based decisions.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across medical, commercial, digital, and supply‑chain functions.
• Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency preferred for regional engagement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with IQVIA data platforms.
• Experience using Close‑Up analytical tools.
• Familiarity with IQMED reporting system.
