Health Care Compliance Officer – Colombia & Costa Rica

About the role

The Healthcare Compliance Officer for Colombia and Costa Rica (Project Epsilon) provides strategic and operational compliance leadership for DePuy Synthes’ Orthopedics business, partnering with senior leaders to ensure ethical conduct and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of compliance strategies aligned with global priorities.
• Identify, assess, and manage compliance risks across commercial, promotional, professional education, government interactions, supply chain and other activities.
• Provide proactive guidance to senior leaders on compliance requirements and ethical decision‑making.
• Embed effective compliance controls into business processes and oversee training, monitoring, risk assessments and issue management.
• Partner with Legal to support investigations, audits and regulatory interactions, and monitor regulatory developments in Colombia and Costa Rica.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years progressive experience in healthcare compliance, legal, risk management or audit.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance laws and regulations applicable to Colombia and Costa Rica.
• Demonstrated leadership of multi‑country compliance programs and ability to influence senior leaders.
• Excellent analytical, judgment and communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Preferred experience in medical devices or pharmaceuticals and prior work in Latin America.
