Healthcare Compliance Officer – Colombia & Costa Rica

About the role

The Healthcare Compliance Officer (HCCO) for Colombia and Costa Rica will lead end‑to‑end compliance strategy for DePuy Synthes’ Orthopedics business. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures ethical conduct, risk management and adherence to local healthcare laws.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute compliance strategies aligned with global and regional priorities.
• Identify, assess and manage compliance risks across commercial, promotional, professional education, government interactions, supply chain and other business activities.
• Provide proactive guidance to senior leaders on compliance requirements and ethical decision‑making.
• Embed effective compliance controls into business processes and oversee training, monitoring, risk assessments and issue management.
• Partner with Legal and other functions to support investigations, audits and regulatory interactions.
• Monitor regulatory developments in Colombia and Costa Rica and present risk assessments to leadership.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of progressive experience in healthcare compliance, legal, risk management or audit.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance laws and enforcement practices in Colombia and Costa Rica.
• Proven leadership experience managing multi‑country compliance programs.
• Excellent analytical, judgment and communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals or broader life‑sciences industries is preferred.
