HVAC Service Technician (Entry Level)

About the role

MSS Solutions, LLC is seeking an entry‑level Service Technician to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. You will work on‑site at customer locations, supporting senior technicians while gaining hands‑on experience in a fast‑growing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance on commercial/industrial HVAC systems.
• Travel to customer sites as required and assist senior HVAC technicians.
• Inventory parts, materials, and labor for each job.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Identify and report unsafe work conditions.
• Participate in on‑call rotation based on business needs.
• Maintain company tools and vehicle.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or completed formal HVAC training at a community college or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic refrigerant cycle, typical components, and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to read safety rules, operation manuals, and write reports.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Pass a background check and drug test.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb occasionally and 25 lb regularly.

Required skills

• Understanding of refrigerant cycle fundamentals.
• Identification of HVAC equipment such as packaged split, WSHP, chiller, tower, and pump.
• Basic electro‑mechanical troubleshooting.
• Fundamentals of air distribution systems.
• Proficiency with hand tools and safe work practices.
