Intercompany Accountant

About the role

The Intercompany Accountant will manage end‑to‑end intercompany accounting processes for entities across APAC and EMEA. Working within the Record to Report team and using NetSuite OneWorld, you will ensure transactions are accurate, reconciled, and compliant while minimizing foreign‑exchange exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post intercompany journal entries with proper justification and approvals.
• Investigate and resolve intercompany mismatches to avoid aged balances.
• Collaborate with global Intercompany and Record to Report teams to achieve net‑zero positions.
• Use NetSuite OneWorld for matrix matching, netting, multi‑currency processing, and automated eliminations.
• Coordinate monthly intercompany cash netting and settlement cycles to optimise liquidity.
• Monitor FX impacts on multi‑currency loans and trade balances and perform month‑end revaluations.
• Manage cross‑border disputes and maintain clear resolution workflows.
• Own intercompany receivable, payable, loan, and elimination balance‑sheet accounts.
• Prepare monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations, specifications, and audit‑ready documentation.
• Review cross‑border transactions for compliance with transfer‑pricing policies.
• Partner with Controllership, Treasury, Tax, and global accounting teams for alignment.
• Serve as primary contact for auditors regarding intercompany balances.
• Identify bottlenecks and recommend system or policy improvements.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of intercompany accounting principles and month‑end close processes.
• Experience working with multinational entities across APAC and EMEA.
• Ability to analyse complex financial data and resolve discrepancies.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
