Junior Accountant – Remote (USD)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Junior Accountant to join our remote team. You will focus on accounts‑receivable collections for clients in the scrap‑metal and trucking logistics sectors, ensuring timely payments and accurate bookkeeping.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee AR collections for a primary scrap‑metal client, following up on overdue invoices and sending reminders.
• Monitor outstanding invoices with various payment terms (Net 30, Net 45, Net 60) to guarantee timely receipt.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for multiple clients, including a trucking logistics company.
• Process transactions in compliance with accounting standards.
• Communicate directly with clients to resolve financial inquiries and provide clear account updates.
• Use accounting software to organize financial records efficiently.
• Collaborate with internal team members to deliver regular financial updates.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or accounts‑receivable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Fluent written and verbal English for client interaction.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and numerical accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and shifting priorities.

Required skills

• Experience with Xero accounting software.
