Junior Back-End Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Junior Back‑End Engineer to join Publicis Global Delivery’s development team. In this position you will help design, develop and maintain back‑end applications that support our clients’ digital initiatives while working closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design and implementation of server‑side features and APIs.
• Maintain and improve existing back‑end codebases to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with front‑end, product and marketing teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Debug and resolve issues using browser developer tools and server logs.
• Participate in code reviews and adopt best practices for clean, maintainable code.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (B2+ to C1).
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Eagerness to learn new front‑end and back‑end technologies.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript and SQL.
• Experience with browser developer tools such as network logs, console and cookies.
• Familiarity with marketing technologies like Google Tag Manager or Shopify is a plus.
