Junior Commercial Deputy – Legal Graduate

About the role

Marsh McLennan is looking for a recent law graduate to join its Risk Management team in Bogotá as a Junior Commercial Deputy. The role combines technical training with on‑the‑job coaching to develop expertise in insurance brokerage and client risk solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate with the insurance market to secure optimal terms for clients’ financial‑line programs.
• Analyse client risks and support senior colleagues in delivering strategic insurance solutions.
• Conduct market research, prepare commercial presentations and tailor business proposals for prospects.
• Collaborate with commercial teams during tender processes, renewals and placement activities.
• Manage placements and negotiations with insurers and internal commercial segments.
• Prepare deliverables for business segments and draft proposal components.
• Identify and develop process improvement initiatives to help win new business.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field, graduated within the last four years.
• Internship or up to four years of experience, preferably in insurance brokerage or general insurance underwriting for financial lines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build professional relationships.
• Fluency in English.
