LATAM Trade Operations Lead

About the role

The LATAM Trade Operations Lead is a senior member of the global supply chain function, responsible for overseeing both transportation networks and trade compliance across Latin America. The role ensures reliable, cost‑efficient, and fully compliant movement of products from manufacturing sites to distribution centers, hospitals and distributors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide regional trade leadership, ensuring compliance with customs, import/export and trade regulations in all LATAM countries.
• Oversee and standardize trade processes, controls and documentation to maintain audit readiness.
• Drive value through optimized inbound and outbound transportation flows, managing relationships with third‑ and fourth‑party logistics providers.
• Lead performance measurement of transport reliability and deliver cost‑improvement targets while protecting service quality.
• Partner with supply chain, quality, finance and legal teams to enable compliant product movement and resolve issues quickly.
• Support product launches, network changes and supply‑chain transformations by assessing transportation and trade impacts.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, International Trade or related field (Master's/MBA preferred).
• 6–8 years progressive experience in supply chain, transportation, trade compliance or related operational roles, preferably in a regulated industry.
• Strong knowledge of international trade, customs regulations and import/export operations within Latin America.
• Experience managing logistics providers, control‑tower models and delivering cost‑saving initiatives.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills across cultures.
