Legal Assistant (Paralegal) – Remote in Colombia

About the role

DOXA is looking for a Legal Assistant with a paralegal scope to support attorneys in litigation administration. The role is fully remote within Colombia and requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive legal matters professionally.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, organize, and file pleadings, motions, notices, discovery materials, and other legal documents.
• Support electronic filing and service through court e‑filing systems, ensuring accuracy and proper storage.
• Calendar and docket court dates, filing deadlines, discovery deadlines, and internal follow‑up dates.
• Track upcoming deadlines and provide proactive reminders to attorneys.
• Draft, proofread, format, and finalize legal correspondence, basic pleadings, and client‑facing materials.
• Gather, label, and maintain case files, exhibits, and supporting documents for attorney review.
• Assist in meeting and hearing preparation, including document compilation.

Required profile

• Paralegal certificate, legal studies coursework, or equivalent legal support training (preferred).
• 2+ years of experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, litigation assistant, or similar role.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, confidentiality, and proactive communication.
