Link Building & Affiliate Specialist

About the role

Wing Assistant is seeking a driven, detail‑oriented Junior Link Building & Affiliate Specialist to expand its off‑page SEO footprint and grow its affiliate programme. This hands‑on outreach position focuses on earning high‑quality backlinks, citations and recruiting affiliate partners who promote Wing Assistant’s services.

Key responsibilities

• Research and build prospect lists of authoritative websites, blogs, directories, review platforms and industry publications for backlink and citation opportunities.
• Execute personalized outreach via email and social channels to secure backlinks, guest posts, citations, unlinked‑mention conversions and business listings.
• Manage citation sources to ensure consistent NAP and brand information across directories and aggregators.
• Identify guest‑posting, resource‑page, broken‑link and digital‑PR opportunities aligned with Wing Assistant’s audience.
• Track outreach activity, follow‑ups, response rates and won links in a CRM or tracking sheet.
• Support the affiliate programme by recruiting, onboarding and communicating with potential partners such as bloggers, review sites, comparison sites and influencers.
• Monitor affiliate placements for accuracy, proper attribution and compliance with brand guidelines.
• Report on outreach volume, acquired links, citations, affiliate sign‑ups and overall link/domain metrics, collaborating closely with the content team and reporting to the Content Team Lead and VP of Marketing.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of SEO fundamentals, including backlinks, citations, domain authority and anchor text.
• Familiarity with link‑building tactics such as guest posting, directory building, digital PR and broken‑link outreach.
• Strong written English and professional outreach/email communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple outreach campaigns and affiliate relationships.

Required skills

• Knowledge of link‑building tools and outreach platforms.
• Experience with CRM or spreadsheet tracking of outreach activities.
• Understanding of affiliate marketing principles and partner management.
