About the role
Join ACTION Colombia as a full‑time missionary dedicated to improving literacy in local communities. You will lead efforts to help individuals move beyond basic Spanish reading and writing, enabling them to engage with newspapers, the Bible, and everyday texts.
Key responsibilities
- Teach reading and writing skills, focusing on functional literacy for Spanish speakers.
- Provide instruction in simple mathematics.
- Mentor students on developing personal ministry and leadership abilities.
Required profile
- At least 18 years old and a growing Christian.
- Active involvement in a local church ministry.
- Recommendation from a pastor and church leadership.
- Teachable, adaptable, and able to handle difficult circumstances.
- Good sense of humor and not easily discouraged.
- Spiritually mature and open to various leadership styles.
