Logistics Coordinator – After‑Hours (Truckload)

About the role

The Logistics Coordinator – After‑Hours supports truckload shipments outside of traditional business hours, ensuring freight moves safely, on time, and cost‑effectively. You will act as the primary point of contact for customers, carriers, and internal teams, providing proactive communication and problem‑solving throughout the shipment lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch truckload shipments from pickup through delivery.
• Prepare accurate, timely customer quotes and identify competitive transportation solutions.
• Source, negotiate, and secure qualified carrier capacity.
• Maintain relationships with carrier dispatchers, transportation providers, and owner‑operators.
• Monitor active shipments, provide proactive updates, and resolve exceptions such as delays, missed appointments, or breakdowns.
• Ensure accurate shipment documentation, rate confirmations, system updates, and load notes.
• Collaborate with internal teams while following standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in truckload dispatch, brokerage, logistics coordination, or carrier sales.
• Working knowledge of truckload transportation operations and carrier procurement.
• Experience preparing transportation quotes and negotiating rates.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong customer‑service orientation, relationship‑building, and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem‑solving capabilities.
