Market Access Liaison - Medellin

About the role

AstraZeneca is looking for a Market Access Liaison based in Medellin to execute Market Access plans within the assigned territory and Business Unit across the Andean Cluster. The role engages payers, hospitals, clinics and other healthcare system stakeholders to identify barriers and develop actions that improve treatment authorization, initiation and continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Execute Market Access strategies and plans within the assigned territory and Business Unit.
• Lead access-related interactions and negotiations with payers, hospitals and clinics in line with established guidelines.
• Identify barriers to treatment authorization, initiation and continuity and develop actions to improve patient access pathways.
• Plan and execute projects on diagnosis, referral, authorization, treatment initiation and continuity.
• Generate payer and healthcare ecosystem insights to strengthen account plans and execution priorities.
• Coordinate with Market Access, Medical and Commercial teams while keeping responsibilities clearly differentiated.
• Plan and execute approved Market Access events and initiatives.
• Document interactions, commitments, barriers and outcomes in the appropriate systems.
• Ensure compliance with AstraZeneca's internal policies, regulatory requirements and ethics, compliance, quality, safety, health and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, health, economics, business or a related field.
• Experience in Market Access, payer or healthcare provider engagement, healthcare pathways or related access execution roles.
• Ability to engage and negotiate with payers, healthcare providers and other stakeholders.
• Knowledge of patient access pathways, barrier identification and process optimization.
• Strong analytical, planning, documentation and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Written and spoken English appropriate to the role.
• Preferred: postgraduate degree in health economics, public health, Market Access, business or a related field; experience with insurers, hospitals, clinics or healthcare delivery networks; experience in access pathway improvement projects and generating payer insights.
