MEP Engineer – On-site in Santa Teresa

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic MEP Engineer to join our on‑site team in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, supporting the construction of a luxury hospitality project. You will report to the MEP Design Manager and work closely with architects, interior designers, structural engineers, procurement, and client representatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and guidance to in‑house design, QS teams, third‑party designers, consultants, and contractors throughout the design process.
• Review and evaluate Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing designs to ensure compliance with project‑specific requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and managers to optimise the integration of MEP systems within high‑end architectural designs.
• Resolve technical issues promptly during the design phase to maintain project momentum.
• Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations relevant to luxury‑grade MEP systems.
• Assist in managing, controlling, and tracking changes and variations according to corporate procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Management.
• Minimum 3 years of on‑site construction experience with Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing systems.
• Proven experience on high‑end residential or hospitality projects.
• In‑depth knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Fluent English for communication with international management and site teams.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑organized, punctual, and strong presentation skills.
