Mid Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

As a Mid Senior DevOps Engineer at Amwell, you will ensure the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of our cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with engineering, platform, and SRE teams to deliver secure, resilient, and highly available systems that support rapid software delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Support and maintain scalable AWS cloud environments with a focus on reliability and performance.
• Manage and improve production‑scale Kubernetes/EKS clusters.
• Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD following automation best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to enhance deployment reliability and infrastructure automation.
• Support monitoring, logging, and observability using CloudWatch and related tools.
• Assist with infrastructure security, IAM policies, networking configurations, and cloud governance.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in incident response.
• Develop automation scripts to streamline operations.

Required profile

• Strong experience with AWS cloud services.
• Solid expertise in Kubernetes/EKS and Terraform.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Collaborative mindset within distributed engineering environments.
• Mid‑level to senior experience in DevOps or site reliability engineering.
