About the role

The Middle School Science Teacher will join a bilingual primary and secondary school in Valledupar, Colombia. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on delivering engaging, standards‑aligned science instruction to middle‑school learners while supporting the school’s bilingual and inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver science lessons that meet curriculum standards and bilingual objectives.
• Plan, prepare, and organize classroom materials and resources.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records.
• Differentiate instruction to address diverse learning needs.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Collaborate with colleagues, attend faculty meetings, and contribute to school activities.
• Communicate regularly with families and guardians about student performance.
• Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in science education with experience teaching middle‑school students.
• Strong lesson‑planning and curriculum‑development abilities aligned with educational standards.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with students, families, and staff.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Science, or a related field.
• Teaching certification or equivalent credentials required by local regulations.
• Experience in bilingual or international school settings is an advantage.
