Mid‑Senior DevOps Engineer – GCP, Terraform & GitLab

About the role

Jalasoft is seeking a Mid‑Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. You will build automated deployment pipelines using Terraform and GitLab CI, ensuring scalable and reliable applications for our innovative projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, provision and maintain GCP infrastructure using Terraform modules.
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, including shared runners and multi‑stage workflows.
• Integrate DevOps best practices with development teams to improve continuous integration and delivery.
• Manage artifact repositories (e.g., Cloudsmith) for build artifacts, container images and Terraform modules.
• Build and operate containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop automation scripts in Bash or Python for CI jobs, reporting and Terraform tooling.
• Implement security and compliance controls such as IAM least‑privilege, vulnerability scanning and policy‑as‑code.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps or cloud engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with GitLab CI pipelines, shared runners and templating.
• Strong expertise in Terraform, including reading module inputs/outputs and managing state.
• Practical experience with artifact management systems like Cloudsmith.
• Solid understanding of GCP fundamentals (projects, IAM, VPC, subnets, load balancing, Cloud Run, CloudSQL).
• Experience deploying containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Bash or Python scripting for automation.
• Knowledge of security and compliance practices in cloud environments.
• Excellent communication skills.
