Mobile SDET / QA Engineer (Android Automation)

About the role

We are seeking a remote Mobile SDET/QA Engineer to join an ecommerce QA team focused on the automation of new Android applications that power back‑of‑house and kitchen operations. The role is pivotal in ensuring seamless integration between mobile apps and point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated UI and API tests for Android applications using frameworks such as Appium, Maestro, Espresso, or Kaspresso.
• Enhance and extend the existing automation framework to support new and existing functionality.
• Collaborate with Agile team members to coordinate testing activities and ensure timely delivery.
• Identify, record, and track defects across UI and API layers, providing clear reproduction steps.
• Optimize the testing environment and processes for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in QA automation or SDET roles.
• 2+ years of hands‑on Android test automation experience (Appium, Maestro).
• Proficiency in Kotlin or Java for Android development.
• Strong understanding of integrated systems and network fundamentals.
• Experience with end‑to‑end UI and API test automation.
