Network Manager

About the role

Amadeus' Cloud Foundation Solutions (CFS) team, within Platform Foundations & Services, runs the core infrastructure that keeps Amadeus applications running reliably, securely and at scale across on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments. Its Communication Services unit designs, builds and operates network services for test and production platforms, including data centre and cloud connectivity, traffic management, security, observability and automation. The Bogota team works with teams in Europe, India and the Americas. As Network Manager you will lead Network Engineering teams delivering secure, reliable and scalable connectivity across cloud, data centre and hybrid environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop people: coach, mentor and grow a high-performing Network Engineering team, building capability, engagement, accountability and a strong culture of ownership.
• Own network service reliability: ensure availability, performance, security and operational readiness of production and non-production network services.
• Drive modernization and automation: promote software-defined networking, Infrastructure-as-Code, self-service, observability and automation to improve scalability and efficiency.
• Partner across the organization with architecture, CISO, cloud, SRE, platform, product and business stakeholders to deliver resilient networking solutions.
• Manage operations and governance: support incident, problem, change, capacity, lifecycle, compliance, vendor and continuous improvement activities for critical network services.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, telecommunications or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of experience in enterprise networking, infrastructure, cloud networking or related fields.
• 3+ years leading, coaching or managing technical teams in a global or matrix organization.
• Good English communication skills.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of routing, switching, WAN/LAN, firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, DNS, load balancing, traffic management and network security.
• Understanding of IT service management (incident, problem, change, capacity, lifecycle, operational risk).
• Ability to influence and align stakeholders across technical, product, security and business organizations.
• Experience with cloud networking on Azure, AWS or GCP; hybrid connectivity and cloud migration experience is a plus.
• Automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, Git workflows, Terraform, Ansible/AWX or similar tools are highly desirable.
