Node.js Developer – Medellín

About the role

Sangoma is looking for a motivated Node.js Developer to join its development team in Medellín. You will build and maintain high‑performance backend services that power our UCaaS communication platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
• Write clean, secure, and efficient code following best‑practice standards.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable software.
• Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, reliability, and security in a production SaaS environment.
• Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, performance bottlenecks, and defects.
• Integrate with relational and NoSQL databases and third‑party services.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional experience developing backend applications with Node.js.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience working in an Agile, collaborative environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
