Operations Executive

About the role

Pacific International Lines (PIL) is seeking a detail‑oriented Operations Executive to join its team in Bogotá. You will be responsible for overseeing daily logistics operations, coordinating with carriers, partners and customs, and ensuring smooth cargo movement across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate shipping schedules and cargo movements with carriers, partners and customs authorities.
• Resolve operational issues such as delays, discrepancies and damaged goods promptly.
• Conduct performance evaluations of operative partners and service providers.
• Maintain accurate records of ship calls, costs and operational activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Required profile

• Degree in Foreign Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in shipping, port operations, boarding clerk, operations assistant/executive or cargo flow roles.
• Proven experience in logistics, shipping or supply chain industries.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Understanding of international shipping regulations and local port customs.

Required skills

• Intermediate knowledge of the MS Office package.
• Proficiency with logistics management software.
