Primary and Secondary EAL/SSL/CC Teacher

About the role

The International School in Bogotá is seeking a qualified and experienced language teacher to join the Additional Language Department. The role starts on 1 August 2026 and focuses on delivering English as a Foreign Language, Spanish as a Second Language, and Colombian Culture across primary and secondary levels.

Key responsibilities

• Provide intensive English support to a small group of students.
• Deliver language input to the whole class and co‑teach with mainstream teachers.
• Offer in‑class support sessions for various sections as needed.
• Support language learners in mainstream subjects beyond language classes.
• Translate documents and communications between Spanish and English for the school community.
• Conduct admissions language testing for primary and secondary applicants.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and deliver training sessions for staff.

Required profile

• University degree or professional qualification.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience, preferably with primary students.
• C1 level proficiency in both English and Spanish.
• Relevant certifications such as CELTA, ICELT, or qualifications in teaching Spanish as a Second Language.
