Production Buyer

About the role

The Production Buyer (IES‑buyer) ensures continuous aviation manufacturing by sourcing materials, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining material availability. You will work remotely, supporting British aerospace and defence standards while gaining international exposure through Emapta.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase a wide range of production materials in line with schedule requirements.
• Issue purchase orders promptly and track deliveries to meet production timelines.
• Maintain inventory levels within approved guidelines.
• Investigate and resolve supply‑chain discrepancies using root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive commercial initiatives from start to finish.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of procurement experience in a production environment.
• Strong supplier relationship management with a focus on value delivery.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of strategic thinking.
• Excellent communication skills for explaining complex concepts and leading training.
• Leadership mindset to champion buying excellence and change.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Experience using WMS platforms.
• Familiarity with CRM tools.
• Data analysis capabilities to interpret supplier data and generate insights.
