Project Engineer – Manufacturing Projects

About the role

We are looking for a Project Engineer to lead and execute industrial engineering projects at L'Oréal’s Bogota Plant. You will be responsible for delivering CAPEX projects that improve production efficiency while meeting the highest safety, quality and sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead CAPEX projects from design and quotation through execution, ensuring on‑time and on‑budget delivery.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement and automation opportunities on production lines.
• Align all projects with L'Oréal for the Future sustainability goals, reducing carbon footprint, water use and energy consumption.
• Supervise on‑site work, ensuring a zero‑accident culture with contractors and suppliers.
• Coordinate with Production, EHS, Quality and Procurement teams to guarantee smooth hand‑over of projects into daily operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience leading engineering projects in FMCG, pharmaceutical or industrial equipment manufacturing environments.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem‑solving abilities in dynamic settings.
• Professional proficiency in English for interaction with global teams and suppliers.

Required skills

• Industrial project management and engineering methodologies.
• Budget control and cost estimation.
• Proficiency with design and planning tools such as AutoCAD and MS Project.
• Solid knowledge of Industrial Safety and Environment (EHS) regulations.
