Quality Assurance Professional (QA/QC)

About the role

Turner & Townsend is looking for a QA/QC professional in Dosquebradas to ensure that construction processes meet the highest quality standards and applicable regulations, delivering complete, safe and contract-compliant outcomes. The role covers industrial civil, structural and architectural (CSA) projects for major pharmaceutical clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality assurance and control plans according to national and international standards (NOM, ASTM, ACI, AISC, AWS).
• Verify materials, construction procedures, inspection protocols and site records for civil, structural and architectural works.
• Carry out daily technical inspections and produce photographic and documentary reports.
• Initiate and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and coordinate corrective actions.
• Oversee technical inspections and testing of soil compaction, concrete, structural steel, welding, coatings and architectural finishes.
• Present technical and quality updates at the executive level and take part in progress meetings.
• Coordinate the technical and documentary closeout of projects and collaborate with planning, supervision and PMO teams.
• Represent the company in audits, inspections and client or regulatory reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of proven QA/QC experience in industrial projects, especially civil, structural and architectural works for power, energy or industrial facilities.
• In-depth knowledge of quality standards and construction codes applicable to the Colombian market.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English, written and spoken.
• Ability to perform under pressure, with a results-driven mindset, and to resolve complex technical issues.
• Preferred: certifications in QA/QC, ISO 9001 or related fields; experience with digital quality control tools; background in LEAN Construction, Scrum or other agile methods; previous industrial energy, EPC or CFE project experience.
