Quality Engineer I

About the role

Zimmer Biomet is seeking an entry‑level Quality Engineer I to ensure that medical‑device products meet established requirements and standards. You will work across functional teams, suppliers, and external experts to support the company’s quality goals.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate procedures, specifications, and standards for products and processes.
• Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans.
• Collect and analyze data for gauge and product evaluation.
• Identify critical personnel, gauges, procedures, and materials needed for new product launches.
• Ensure suppliers have the necessary information and capabilities to deliver quality products.

Required profile

• B.S. in engineering or equivalent with a quality‑engineer certification (e.g., CQE).
• 1‑3 years of experience in a medical‑device environment, preferably orthopedics.
• Advanced English proficiency and strong written/oral communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
• Results‑oriented with a focus on meeting deadlines.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel.
• Basic blueprint reading and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Knowledge of QSR/ISO regulations, design assurance, and FMEA.
• Experience with product testing, inspection methods, optical comparators, and coordinate‑measuring machines (CMM).
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred.
