Quality Technologist I – Fragrance Lab (Bogotá)

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Technologist I to join IFF’s fragrance laboratory in Bogotá. The successful candidate will support quality control and assurance activities, ensuring that fragrance products meet internal standards and customer specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and document chromatographic analyses using GC and GC‑MS, as well as physicochemical tests.
• Prepare samples, reagents and analytical solutions according to established protocols.
• Generate Certificates of Analysis and communicate results to internal stakeholders.
• Manage sample shipments for re‑evaluation and maintain traceability records.
• Monitor stability studies, prepare samples and compile final reports.
• Verify laboratory equipment using certified reference standards.
• Support raw material analysis and local material release processes.
• Ensure proper disposal of laboratory waste and compliance with safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering or a related field.
• 1–2 years of laboratory experience with chromatography or sensory analysis.
• Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry and instrumental techniques (GC mandatory).
• Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Intermediate level of English.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
