Rail Systems Team Lead

About the role

WSP Colombia is seeking a Rail Systems Team Lead to head its rail engineering group in Bogotá. The role involves providing technical guidance, mentorship and ensuring successful delivery of rail projects across multiple disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Rail Systems team, offering technical direction and support.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering groups and act as primary point of contact for the team.
• Identify and resolve technical, operational and coordination challenges to support project delivery.
• Facilitate communication and integration between different technical groups and project stakeholders.
• Promote Systems Engineering and Systems Assurance best practices throughout project execution.
• Participate in technical reviews, project planning activities and strategic initiatives.
• Support workforce planning, recruitment, candidate evaluation and team development.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, project requirements and organizational processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications, Systems, Mechatronics, Railway or Transportation Engineering or a related discipline.
• 6‑9 years of experience in Rail Systems, Systems Engineering, Systems Integration or Systems Assurance.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and coordinating multidisciplinary groups.
• Professional certifications in Systems Engineering, INCOSE, Functional Safety or Project Management are highly desirable.
