Regional Communications Officer

About the role

The Regional Communications Officer supports the Regional Director of External Engagement and Advocacy in implementing the Regional External Engagement Strategy for World Vision’s Latin America and Caribbean office. The role focuses on strengthening donor and external communications, internal alignment, emergency messaging, and media engagement across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the Regional Communications Strategy and workplans aligned with external engagement priorities.
• Design and manage a regional internal communications system to keep staff aligned with the global "Our Promise 2030" strategy.
• Map and cultivate relationships with media, private‑sector, and multilateral stakeholders to enhance World Vision’s regional positioning.
• Build a network of regional communicators and maintain a pool of spokespersons for institutional and emergency communications.
• Coordinate communications capacity during humanitarian emergencies, handling media requests and ensuring visibility.
• Provide training and capacity‑building for field office communications teams on storytelling and technical branding.
• Produce, edit, and coordinate high‑quality content for global centers, support offices, and external outlets to support fundraising and awareness‑raising.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting senior leadership in communications and external engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across advocacy, operations, faith, development, marketing, and HR teams.
• Experience working in humanitarian or development contexts, preferably with regional or multi‑country responsibilities.
