Regional Finance Director Latam

About the role

Ubiquity Global Services, a global Technology Enabled BPO, is looking for a Finance Director to oversee accounting, finance, tax and treasury activities across its Latam subsidiaries. The role partners with legal, procurement and operations to drive business success, ensures compliance with GAAP, corporate policies, external audits and tax filings, and manages cash, treasury, accounts payable, payroll and VAT and income tax filing. It is primarily on-site.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the monthly financial close, recording costs, approving vendor invoices and preparing reconciliations and subsidiary schedules accurately and on time
• Prepare monthly financial statements with budget comparisons and a critical analysis of variances
• Develop the local use of Netsuite ERP for budget reporting to divisional leaders
• Help build and communicate internal controls so transactions are properly authorised, reviewed and approved
• Work with external auditors to secure successful audit results and compliance
• Collaborate with budget owners and stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate management and financial reporting, including the annual report
• Keep the chart of accounts hierarchical and scalable, maintain general ledger accuracy and implement GAAP changes
• Set up techniques to detect and prevent fraud and ensure company policies are followed
• File VAT, income tax, payroll and other local tax returns on time, using in-house or third-party preparers
• Work with Latam leaders on supplier and lessor negotiations, operational improvements and client profitability monitoring

Required profile

• Accounting degree from an accredited programme; CPA required
• At least 10 years of experience, including Big 4 tenure
• Prior experience as Controller or Accounting Manager
• Ability to communicate in English
• Prior BPO experience is a major plus
• Self-starter who can set goals and work plans
