Resources Management Officer (P)

About the role

The Resources Management Officer will report to the Chief of Mission and work closely with the Deputy Regional Director (Management), the Department of Financial and Administrative Management at Headquarters and the Global Shared Services Centre. The incumbent will supervise and manage the budgetary, financial, human‑resources and other administrative functions of the Country Office and its Sub‑Offices, providing operational support to staff.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the country office’s budgetary, financial and human‑resources processes, ensuring compliance with IOM policies.
• Develop, implement and monitor administrative control procedures and coordinate external audit exercises.
• Coordinate with DFAM, HQ and GSSC to align financial and administrative operations across the region.
• Utilise corporate IT systems and software to support financial reporting and HR management.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management or a related field with at least five years of relevant experience, or a university degree with seven years of experience.
• Professional certification such as CA, CPA, CIMA or ACCA is an advantage.
• Proven experience in financial and human‑resources management at the international level, including coordination with international institutions.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise the development and implementation of administrative control procedures and to coordinate external audits.
