Risk Governance Analyst

About the role

The Risk & Controls Analyst supports second‑line‑of‑defense risk governance for Visa's Client Care operations. You will provide independent oversight, challenge, and assurance over operational risk management and control performance.

Key responsibilities

• Execute control monitoring activities, including sample‑based reviews, exception reviews, and automated/AI‑assisted monitoring.
• Facilitate Risk and Control Self‑Assessment (RCSA) deliverables, validate risk/control narratives, and ensure documentation meets governance standards.
• Identify control gaps, compliance risks, and emerging risk themes; track corrective action plans through closure.
• Analyze risk and control performance data to surface trends, key risk indicators, and systemic issues.
• Leverage analytics and visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft Copilot) to produce decision‑ready narratives for leadership.

Required profile

• Experience performing operational risk, compliance, audit, testing, or control monitoring in an operations environment.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills with an audit‑mindset.
• Ability to document testing results, maintain issue logs, and communicate risk insights across functions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Microsoft Copilot.
• Experience with data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, and Tableau.
• Familiarity with automated monitoring, exception management, and basic AI concepts.
