Rust Software Engineer

About the role

Payward Services is building an enterprise infrastructure platform that unifies trading, payments, funding and digital asset services. As a Rust Software Engineer you will design, develop and scale the core services that power this platform, ensuring high reliability and performance for fintech, banking and crypto customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement robust Rust services and libraries for trading, payments and crypto experiences.
• Write reusable, testable, high‑performance code that scales across teams and supports revenue‑critical systems.
• Collaborate on large‑scale distributed systems architecture, translating product requirements into low‑latency solutions.
• Debug and resolve issues across the full stack, including operating system, network and application layers.
• Work alongside a large community of Rust engineers in a product‑driven, high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in writing network services or asynchronous code in Rust.
• Security‑first mindset when designing systems.
• Ability to autonomously debug issues across OS, network and application layers.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, RPC protocols, Kafka and event‑driven architectures.
• Effective collaboration with product teams and end‑to‑end ownership of systems.
