Sales Solution Engineer

About the role

The Sales Solution Engineer supports VTEX’s Sales team by combining deep technical knowledge of the VTEX platform with strong pre‑sales expertise. Working closely with development, professional services and strategic partners, the engineer translates customer needs into scalable, business‑focused solutions while highlighting the platform’s value.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise during pre‑sales engagements, building confidence in VTEX solutions.
• Collaborate with VTEX strategic partners to craft tailored proposals for leads.
• Design architectural and business solutions that align with customer requirements and platform capabilities.
• Prepare detailed project scopes, technical proposals and pricing structures.
• Advise customers on integration models and best practices for seamless implementation.
• Act as a bridge between prospects and internal teams, translating needs into actionable development plans.
• Identify and propose scalable solutions that support customer growth.
• Simplify complex technical challenges into clear strategies for customers, partners and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in Solution Engineering, Pre‑sales, or Customer Success roles.
• Proven track record managing enterprise‑level accounts.
• Strong ability to build relationships across all management levels, both internally and externally.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, fluent in written and spoken English.
• Analytical mindset capable of turning complex requirements into actionable plans.
