Search Engine Optimization Team Lead

About the role

Search Atlas is looking for a remote Search Engine Optimization Team Lead to manage a six‑person Implementer team. You will own the technical SEO delivery for paying clients, handle escalations, and ensure high‑quality onboarding and implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach six SEO Implementers, conducting weekly 1:1s, daily syncs, and performance conversations.
• Plan capacity, project timelines, quarterly objectives, and approve time tracking.
• Take client calls for complex issues, manage at‑risk accounts, and drive post‑mortem/off‑boarding processes.
• Maintain quality standards for onboarding, implementation, and ongoing client work.
• Diagnose and resolve technical SEO problems such as schema errors, indexation issues, traffic drops, and migration fallout.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Billing to resolve platform or integration failures.
• Own reporting, scorecards, and dashboards for team performance, retention, and customer health.
• Build and maintain API integrations with Google Search Console, GA4, Google Business Profile, and other tools.
• Develop and pilot AI‑driven tooling, SOP libraries, package scopes, and shared templates.
• Roll out process changes across Support, CSM, and Marketing teams.

Required profile

• Comfortable handling upset clients on live calls and de‑escalating situations.
• Proactive problem‑solver who identifies gaps and takes action without waiting for direction.
• Resilient under deadlines and ambiguity.
• Experienced AI power user who can build and iterate tools independently.

Required skills

• Technical SEO expertise (schema markup, indexation, migration handling).
• Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, Google Business Profile.
• API integration development and maintenance.
• Dashboard creation and data visualization.
• AI tooling and process automation.
