Security Consultant – SOC Incident Response (L3)

About the role

Eurofins is expanding its Security Operations Centre in Bogotá and seeks a senior Security Consultant to join the Incident Response (L3) team. You will lead complex security investigations, coordinate remediation actions and help improve the organisation’s security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Perform triage and in‑depth investigation of cybersecurity events using SIEM, IDS, EDR, antivirus, proxy tools and firewalls.
• Correlate security events from SOC and other sources to assess business risk.
• Identify and analyse intrusion attempts through detailed event review and forensic data acquisition.
• Conduct host‑based and network‑based forensic analysis, including memory and malicious code investigation.
• Develop and maintain SOC procedures and processes.
• Lead and manage security incidents across the full incident‑response lifecycle.
• Ensure confidentiality and protection of sensitive data.
• Collaborate with other security and IT teams on remediation and mitigation.
• Work overtime and respond to critical incidents escalated to L3.
• Provide clear technical communication to IT personnel and management.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years professional experience as a SOC Analyst, threat researcher, hunter or a comparable incident‑handling role.
• Strong troubleshooting, reasoning and analytical problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
