Senior Accountant – Client Portfolio Management

About the role

Vistra + Biz Latin Hub is expanding its Colombian operations and seeks a Senior Accountant to manage a portfolio of client accounts. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with a client‑focused attitude, delivering accurate financial information and advisory support.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations for multiple clients, ensuring accurate records, reports and financial statements.
• Prepare, review and file statutory reports and tax returns (income tax, VAT, withholdings, ICA, etc.) in compliance with Colombian regulations.
• Lead audit processes, providing documentation and ensuring compliance.
• Supervise and mentor junior accountants, performing quality control on their work.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, offering accounting and tax advisory.
• Identify and resolve complex accounting discrepancies and drive process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Professional degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in outsourcing or consulting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Colombian GAAP and tax regulations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously.
• Intermediate English proficiency for client communication.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems.
• Expert-level Microsoft Excel.
• In‑depth understanding of IFRS and local GAAP.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Colombian tax legislation.
