Senior Accountant (Remote – Mexico & Colombia)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to own our operational accounting function and month‑end close. Reporting to a fractional CFO, you will work autonomously in a lean, remote environment, driving accurate financial reporting and process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full month‑end close, including reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis and financial reporting.
• Prepare timely financial statements and support the CFO with reporting and internal controls.
• Manage Accounts Payable: invoice processing, approvals, corporate card transactions and employee expense reimbursements.
• Support billing operations, payment applications and resolve customer payment issues.
• Transition accounting duties from external providers to an internal team.
• Develop, maintain and continuously improve SOPs and documentation for all accounting workflows.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce manual work and strengthen controls.
• Collaborate with Finance, Collections and Operations to streamline workflows and resolve issues.

Required profile

• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably as a Senior Accountant.
• Proven experience owning or heavily participating in month‑end close.
• Hands‑on experience managing Accounts Payable.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Analytical, problem‑solving and process‑improvement mindset.

• Advanced experience with NetSuite.
• Experience with Salesforce.
