Senior Accountant – Remote (Mexico & Colombia)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to own our operational accounting function and lead the month‑end close. Reporting to a fractional CFO, you will work remotely from Mexico or Colombia and be the primary accounting resource driving accurate financial reporting and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full month‑end close, including reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis and financial reporting.
• Manage Accounts Payable, invoice processing, approvals, corporate card transactions and employee expense reimbursements.
• Support billing operations, payment applications and resolve customer payment issues.
• Lead the transition of accounting duties from external providers to an internal team.
• Develop, maintain and continuously improve SOPs and documentation for all accounting workflows.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce manual work and strengthen controls.
• Collaborate with Finance, Collections and Operations to streamline workflows and resolve issues.

Required profile

• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably as a Senior Accountant.
• Proven experience owning the month‑end close and managing Accounts Payable.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and process‑improvement mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with NetSuite.
• Experience using Salesforce.
