Senior AI Tech Architect – Cloud (Bogotá)

About the role

BCG Platinion is seeking a Senior AI Tech Architect to lead cloud‑focused initiatives for clients in Bogotá. You will combine deep technical expertise with consulting skills to shape IT strategies, design robust cloud solutions, and mentor project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with case teams to assess client IT environments, coach their teams, and define cloud strategies and architecture.
• Own delivery of specific project modules, creating technical concepts and ensuring successful implementation.
• Guide and mentor other consultants, leading work streams when needed.
• Apply architectural consulting skills across a variety of technology topics, supported by BCG’s training curriculum.

Required profile

• 6‑8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, cloud strategy, technical project management, or technology consulting.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale IT implementation projects.
• Experience in regulated industries such as banking, insurance, energy, telecommunications, or retail.
• Strong analytical mindset, excellent communication, and demonstrated leadership/mentorship abilities.

Required skills

• Design and implementation of cloud architectures, including high availability and disaster recovery.
• Regulatory compliance for cloud deployments (e.g., DORA, GDPR, NIS2) and multi‑cloud design.
• Infrastructure automation, scalability, and sizing of cloud components (DevOps, Serverless, IaC).
• Expertise with major CSP XaaS services (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
• Cloud governance, FinOps, and security monitoring with threat detection tools.
