Senior Commercial Finance Analyst - Colombia

About the role

Newell Brands is hiring a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst in Colombia. The role is the finance partner of the Colombia Commercial and Marketing teams, owning the P&L from Invoice Sales to Net Sales (ITN) for Colombia and the Advertising & Promotion (A&P) investment for the Andean Cluster (Colombia and Peru). It combines financial rigor with commercial judgment, supporting month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing, budgeting and forecasting, product and customer profitability, gross-to-net investment evaluation and pricing strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Own the ITN lines of the Colombia P&L (discounts, promotions, rebates, trade terms, returns and allowances) across actuals, forecast and budget, and manage the annual budget and monthly forecast with input from Sales
• Deliver a timely monthly close for ITN, including program accruals and promotions, and support reconciliation of customer trade programs
• Analyze Net Sales variances by customer, channel, brand and category, identifying volume, price, mix and trade investment drivers
• Own A&P for Colombia and Peru, partner with Marketing to build and track the A&P plan, analyze spend vs. plan and ROI, and coordinate with the Peru FP&A Lead
• Prepare product and customer profitability analyses, support pricing and promotional decisions with financial scenarios, and evaluate gross-to-net investments
• Act as the day-to-day finance contact for Sales, Marketing and Customer Marketing, including the Quarterly Business Review and regular performance reviews
• Support the full Colombia P&L consolidation, the Monthly Business Review and closing flashes, and deliver models, reports and ad-hoc analyses
• Collaborate with the FP&A team and share knowledge with the Junior Analyst

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A or similar (consumer goods or retail is a plus)
• Excellent oral and written communication in English and Spanish
• Ability to synthesize financial and business impact into clear messages for Commercial and Marketing leadership
