Senior DevOps Engineer – Cloud & SRE (Remote, Colombia)

About the role

As a Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer / SRE you will join Monks' DevOps platform team to support AI‑driven SaaS and PaaS solutions. You will design, build and operate reliable cloud infrastructure while improving delivery pipelines and platform observability.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain and evolve cloud infrastructure for AI SaaS and PaaS products.
• Design and optimise CI/CD pipelines across multiple ecosystems.
• Automate provisioning and management with Terraform.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters, including cloud‑managed services such as EKS, GKE or AKS.
• Administer Linux environments and troubleshoot issues across code, cloud, networks and OS.
• Support PostgreSQL databases and investigate operational incidents.
• Define SLOs and create monitoring, alerts, dashboards and escalation chains.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to translate requirements into reliable platform solutions.
• Document technical and operational procedures clearly and comprehensively.

Required profile

• 7+ years in DevOps, cloud engineering or SRE roles.
• 5+ years with SDLC and CI/CD tools, hands‑on in at least two ecosystems.
• 3+ years as a software engineer, preferably backend.
• 5+ years Linux administration and networking knowledge.
• 5+ years experience with AWS and/or GCP.
• 5+ years using Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• 5+ years managing Kubernetes clusters, including a managed service.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and observability tooling.
