Senior Drilling Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Drilling Engineer to lead and support all engineering aspects of drilling campaigns in the Bogotá region. The role covers the full lifecycle from planning and detailed design through logistics readiness and field execution, ensuring safe, efficient and technically sound operations that meet corporate standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review drilling program designs, including directional, pilot and horizontal well plans.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure logistics, equipment, and personnel are ready for field execution.
• Provide technical support during drilling operations, troubleshooting issues and optimizing performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements throughout the campaign.
• Document engineering decisions and generate reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Petroleum Engineer or related engineering discipline with senior drilling engineering experience.
• At least three years of recent experience in horizontal drilling operations or campaigns.
• Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Experience in the Llanos Basin or similar environments is preferred.
