Senior Fullstack Python Developer (Remote)

About the role

Proxify is looking for a Senior Fullstack Python Developer to join its fast-growing network of remote developers. You will lead the design and implementation of scalable backend services and APIs with Python (FastAPI, Django or Flask) and deliver polished, performant user interfaces with React.js or Vue.js. The role is long-term and full-time, remote, and involves mentoring junior developers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and operate scalable backend services in Python
• Build and maintain responsive, accessible web UIs with React.js, Vue.js or similar frameworks
• Design, document and consume RESTful APIs (optionally GraphQL)
• Integrate backend systems with relational and NoSQL databases
• Ensure code quality through unit and integration tests, code reviews and automated pipelines
• Make architectural decisions (monolith vs microservices) and work with designers and product teams
• Troubleshoot production issues, optimise performance and ensure reliability and security
• Mentor other engineers and document architecture, API contracts, workflows and deployments

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development with strong fullstack exposure
• 3+ years of production experience with Python
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3
• Experience writing automated unit and integration tests for backend and frontend
• Strong problem-solving skills and excellent written and spoken English
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup

Required skills

• Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask) and React.js or Vue.js
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORMs (SQLAlchemy, Django ORM)
• Docker and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
• Cloud deployment and operations (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Nice-to-have

• TypeScript, microservices, GraphQL, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ/Kafka, OWASP and security flows
• Open-source contributions or published technical content
