Senior Java Backend Developer (Camunda)

About the role

Softtek Colombia is looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer with deep expertise in Camunda to design, build and maintain high‑performance services for its clients. The role combines hands‑on development with client‑facing communication and technical leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop robust backend services using Java 8/9/11 and the Spring ecosystem.
• Build, maintain and evolve RESTful and SOAP APIs.
• Implement JMS‑based integrations and support Java EE applications.
• Manage data serialization, transformation and persistence with SQL, XML/XSLT, JSON, Jackson and JAXB.
• Deploy, monitor and troubleshoot applications on Wildfly/JBoss.
• Gather and validate functional and technical requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
• Support workflow automation and process modeling with Camunda BPM.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience developing Java backend solutions.
• Strong client‑facing communication skills and ability to explain technical decisions to stakeholders.
