Senior Looker Developer – Data Analytics

About the role

As a senior member of the Analytics Engineering & BI team, you will lead the design, governance, and scaling of Power Digital’s Looker semantic layer. You will translate ambiguous stakeholder requests into robust, reusable data models that power internal and client‑facing analytics, including conversational AI use cases.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the enterprise LookML semantic layer for a 1,000+ person organization and 600+ clients.
• Write scalable, performant LookML with rich metadata to support emerging conversational analytics.
• Translate stakeholder asks into clear technical implementations and design reusable self‑service analytics assets.
• Design LookML for scale and performance, partner with Analytics Engineering on query optimization, and govern multiple Looker instances.
• Maintain the LookML style guide, train users, and mentor junior developers.

Required profile

• 4+ years building production‑grade LookML models and data products.
• Advanced SQL proficiency with Snowflake or BigQuery.
• Strong foundation in dimensional modeling and data‑warehousing fundamentals.
• Agency experience in performance‑marketing analytics, handling multi‑client workloads.
• Experience with git‑based version control, CI/CD workflows, and mentoring junior team members.
