Senior Mobile Developer Android/iOS (Remote, Colombia or Costa Rica)

About the role

Gorilla Logic is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to rebuild and modernize native Android and iOS applications. The role is remote and open to candidates located in Colombia or Costa Rica, focusing on delivering complete mobile features, offline‑first data management, API integrations, and AI‑assisted development.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain native Android (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose) and iOS (Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI, RxSwift) features with consistent UX and design.
• Implement offline‑first capabilities, including encrypted storage, background sync, conflict handling, and attachment uploads.
• Integrate mobile apps with APIs for authentication, records, forms, workflows, files and device capabilities such as camera, barcode scanning, location, audio, biometrics and document pickers.
• Write unit, screenshot, integration and end‑to‑end automated tests and support CI, automated device testing and release pipelines.
• Leverage AI coding agents for investigation, planning, implementation, testing and code review, and validate AI‑generated changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development with a focus on mobile applications.
• Strong communication, analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Material 3, coroutines, Flow, Hilt, Retrofit, OkHttp, Room, SQLCipher, DataStore, WorkManager.
• Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI, RxSwift, Realm, Keychain.
• Experience with multi‑module Gradle projects, MVI pattern, offline‑first design, REST API integration.
• Ability to read and debug shared JavaScript business logic.
• Automated mobile testing, GitLab CI (or similar), Firebase Test Lab, BrowserStack.
• Professional use of AI coding agents and understanding of agent harness engineering.
