Senior QA Automation Engineer

About the role

Avenue Code is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to design and execute comprehensive testing strategies for high‑availability, secure transaction platforms. The role involves collaborating with Agile teams to ensure release quality and improve automation across the software delivery lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute test strategies, plans, and cases for functional, integration, regression, and end‑to‑end testing.
• Design, maintain, and enhance automated testing frameworks and suites.
• Perform API testing and validate integrations between distributed systems.
• Coordinate security testing activities, including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and compliance validation.
• Support performance and load testing initiatives to ensure scalability and stability.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders and provide release certification.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a QA Engineer or Test Automation Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and best practices.
• Hands‑on experience with API testing tools and methodologies.
• Experience with performance and load testing tools.
• Experience coordinating or executing security testing activities.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Agile QA methodologies.
• Background working with complex, high‑reliability, security‑focused applications.
