Senior/Lead iOS Mobile Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior/Lead iOS Mobile Engineer to join Blankfactor’s fully remote team. The role involves designing, developing and maintaining high-quality iOS applications for clients in fast-moving sectors such as payments, banking and life sciences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality iOS applications using Swift, Objective‑C, UIKit, and SwiftUI.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, reliable, and user‑friendly mobile solutions.
• Define and implement mobile architecture (e.g., MVVM) to ensure maintainability, performance, and scalability.
• Integrate with backend services via GraphQL and REST APIs, handling efficient networking and data management.
• Implement secure mobile features such as biometric authentication, Keychain storage, deep linking, and wallet integrations.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests following test‑driven development practices.
• Review code, enforce quality and security standards, and identify performance improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality mobile applications and continuously improve development processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in iOS application development with strong expertise in Swift; experience with Objective‑C for legacy components.
• Hands‑on experience building modern iOS apps using UIKit and SwiftUI.
• Proficiency with Xcode, CocoaPods, and Swift Package Manager.
• Experience implementing deep links, biometric authentication, and secure Keychain storage.
• Strong experience integrating REST APIs and GraphQL, with solid networking knowledge.
• Experience handling encrypted payloads, digital certificates, device eligibility validation, and lifecycle callbacks.
• Prior experience with Apple Pay, PassKit, and wallet provisioning is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of MVVM architecture and mobile design patterns.
• Solid unit testing skills, including mock data and integration tests.
• Good knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• Minimum B1 English comprehension and ability to work fully remote.
